Aries Full Moon

Happy Full Moon in Aries, my Star Sisters & Brothers!

This Full Moon is the 3rd of 4 “super moons” this year, thus bringing a BIG ENERGY to this particular lunar cycle! Perhaps even an INTENSE & FIERY energy, as well, due to the God of War (Mars) being the central figure here: Mars is the natural ruler of Aries, and with the Moon, Chiron & North Node of the Moon in his home sign, Mars is definitely setting the tone for us during this time! But where is Mars? He is dancing through the emotional, watery realms of Cancer, which from an ancient astrological perspective, would be considered the sign of his “fall.” And why is that? Because Mars doesn’t have the same fight in him when visiting the sign of soft Cancer, which I would argue is a good thing for us during these war-ridden times! The fight, rather, resides within our personal psyches: the fight to feel our emotions and be supported in our process.

With a Grand Square happening between Mars, Pluto, the Sun and Moon, we have our work cut out for us during the coming weeks ahead! Just like the illumination that takes place during a Full Moon, there is an opportunity for enlightenment here with these planetary alignments, particularly in the realm of relationship & partnership. Where are you compromising too much, and how can you honor your own needs through compassionate communication of those needs to your partner? Are there ways in which you can shift the relationship dynamics between you and those you hold close, so that you can stand in your personal power more authentically? Mars is said to be the “lower octave” of Pluto, representing a more primal expression of its more subconscious counterpart. There may be an impulsive or reactionary kind of energy emerging within you, if you are not being honest with yourself about your desires at this time. Practicing patience and remembering to DEEPLY LISTEN is the medicine that will heal whatever wounds may be surfacing (Chiron conjunct the Moon).

Venus, Goddess of Love & Beauty, is traveling through that last degree of Scorpio, also known as the anaretic degree (29 degrees of any sign). This represents a “now or never” kind of energy, and thus brings with it a feeling of needing to complete a cycle. Venus is also conversing with Pluto, forming an exact sextile to the Lord of the Underworld, and she is checking in with Dreamy Neptune in a trine aspect within a couple of degrees, as well as confronting Volatile Uranus in an opposition aspect within a few degrees. It is interesting to note that Venus is choosing to connect with the transpersonal planets at this closing of her journey through Scorpio: a very personal journey that is ending with conversations on subjects that are beyond the personal experience. Perhaps this will manifest as intimate conversations with yourself (Pluto) and your parternships around the need to take alternative approaches (Uranus) in how you wish to step into your dreams & visions (Neptune).
